Character Designs

For my last two units in level 5 I discovered that I really love character design. This is something I hope to get better at through this unit and in the future. http://willterry.com/coursesamples.html - I also came across this website in this new project and thought it was quite useful. It sums up a lot of what i've already learnt but it's nice to have a quick refresh. 

One thing I didn't want to do when creating my characters was to look at other illustrators completed character designs as I was worried it would influence how I create my own. instead i've drawn characters from my head without using reference material. Although I think it is important to use reference material, it especially helps me when i'm drawing animals, I think that can come in to my work a little bit later when i'm drawing the characters movements.

Starting working on character designs. Once i'm happy with a rough sketched out design for my characters I will work into it more creating a version with textures on photoshop.
